First of all, one of our team will come out to visit you for a cup of tea and a get to know each other chat. Together we will assess what services you need a little help with. Our dedicated team of home care assistants are fully trained to:
· Helping you start the day; getting up, washed, dressed and having a good breakfast
· Support with medication; remind and assist you in taking medicines, as well as collect or return medication from your pharmacy or dispensing GP surgery
· Mealtime; prepare meals with or for you and assist you at mealtimes
· Outings; Doctors or Dentist appointments, shopping with you or help you to make a shopping list, go to the shops, plus come back and put it all away or if you just want to have a wander around the weekly market.
· Household; help with your laundry or ironing and keep your home clean and tidy
· Social outings; support you with social activities like going out for a walk, attending a day centre, visiting friends or family or going to your church or club
· Personal care; Showering or bathing, help with creams and ointments, getting dressed.
· At the end of each day, some help with getting ready for bed
Companion care offers a flexible approach to care which means you can feel reassured that those you care about can enjoy quality of life when you are not able to be with them. We will also update you on our time with those you care for with an email or phone call on a regular basis.
